it hit me hard, burning scalding like coffee too hot I tried to swallow to spit it up but I was behind one second too late blisters came rising and hurting a reminder of what was what had been I turn my eyes away can't meet that burning flame because I'm already scarred suffering in pain but still I reach out reach out to you touching you watching you turn but I have to pull back as your face twists watch your hand raise then you turn away the pain is worse now the burning is so cold my heart is frozen and the smoldering is dead and I know now as you walk away you don't want me around you never did
